Founded by DCI President Carolyn Breeding, RD, LD, FADA in 1991, Dietary Consultants, Inc. is the leader in the provision of high quality registered dietitian consulting services throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, Indiana, and other surrounding states. Leadership staff with DCI includes Brenda Richardson, MA, RDN, LD, CD having responsibility for Business Development and Relations; and Megan Finnie, RDN, CSG, LD Chief Operations Officer.

Carolyn Breeding, RD, LD, FADA is the President and Owner of Dietary Consultants, Inc. since 1991, Co-Owner and President of Food Service Management Solutions, President of Quality Provider Services, Inc., President of Breeding and Associates Educational Resources, Owner and President of NAPA Health Care Connection (NAPA-HC), and Owner of Gerwick and Associates/Gerwick Purchasing. Carolyn has more than 30 years and a very wide range of consulting and foodservice experience. Carolyn is registered by the American Dietetic Association, licensed as a Dietician and certified as a Nutritionist by the Kentucky Licensure Certification Board, and is a Fellow of the American Dietetic Association. Carolyn is affiliated with the American Dietetic Association, the Kentucky Dietetic Association, the Bluegrass Dietetic Association, and several other prominent professional foodservice organizations. From 2001-2003, Carolyn served as Chair of the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists and from 2007-2008, served as the Chair of the Consultant Dietitian Network. In 2008, Carolyn received the Medallion Award from the American Dietetic Association and is also a frequent nationwide speaker and presenter as well as a published writer and editor. Carolyn will provide leadership to ensure a quality experience for our clients.

Brenda Richardson, MA, RDN, LD, CD is Business Development and Relations Director for Dietary Consultants, Inc. and Food Service Management Solutions. Brenda has more than thirty years of proven success directing multi-million dollar food service and nutrition operations. Brenda serves on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) CMS Work Group and is the current national Chair of the Board of Directors for the Academy Political Action Committee (ANDPAC). The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics selected Brenda for the “2010 ADA Grassroots Excellence Award”, presented in Washington DC and Brenda was also rewarded as the Indiana Dietetic Association 2010 Honored Dietitian. Brenda is a national lecturer and contributing writer and editor to several publications including the Pocket Resource for Nutrition Assessment 2013 Edition published by the Dietetics in Health Care Communities Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Megan Finnie, RDN, CSG, LD is the Chief Operations Officer for Dietary Consultants, Inc. and has worked as a consultant and registered dietitian for long term care facilities and hospitals. Prior to consulting, Megan worked in both foodservice and nutrition research. Megan earned her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky and her training and certification for Nutrient Data System Research (NDSR) from the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. Megan is a Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition. Megan is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Kentucky Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as the Bluegrass District Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2009 Megan was named Outstanding Dietetic Intern by the University of Kentucky and the Bluegrass District Academy of Nutritional and Dietetics. Megan has also contributed to multiple abstracts including, An holistic approach to effective nutrition programs for affected Superfund communities and Nutrition education provides outreach to improve health-related behaviors for Superfund Communities.
